The Zeven Provincien was a Dutch flagship of the line, launched in 1665 and armed with 80 cannons. Zeven Provincien loosely translates as the Seven Provinces, since the Dutch Republic in the 17th century consisted of seven rather independant lands.

The De Zeven Provincien fought hard in many sea battles with it's greatest fight being the Battle of the Texel. In 2008 construction of a replica of De Zeven Provincien was begun. In this edition, we are able to identify the production date of a model, the material that was used on the model, the craftsmen who worked on each area of the model, the individual who inspected the model and also the professional packaging staff.
