This Dixie II Hydroplane Runabout Model was specially designed & built by the plank on frame method. (joining multiple small pieces of wood like Rosewood, Mahogany and western red cedar wood together on the hull). The speed boat model is built exactly to scale as the original Dixie II was with many details.

The task required skillful craftsmen hundreds of hours to accomplish. This model runabout went through a painstaking process of sanding and varnishing to achieve it's mirror finish. The fittings are all brass, the rudders and propellers are also brass. The seats are made of leather.
