The Red Dragon wood model boat kit by Artesania Latina is a scale reproduction of the junks that plied the rivers and oceans of the Far East, from Singapore to Northern China. Authentic to the last detail, it's complete with all furnishings and fittings.

Materials include plywood keel and frames, walnut and other fine hardwoods for planking and fittings, bras pins, rings, and eyebolts, four cast metal cannon, cotton rigging and cloth for sails and poop roof. Construction is double plank-on-bulkhead, and all wooden parts are pre.

Full sized plans and illustrated instructions are included. Length: 19-1/2", Height: 18", Scale: 1:60.

Paint, glue, and tools are not included. Although complete plans and instructions are included, the limited English instructions provided require critical thinking and some modification as needed.

This is not a build by numbers kit, and is not for everyone. Additional technique books, and or access to the advice of an experienced wood modeler or wood model club is recommended.
