Van Ryper Bassett- Lowke Ship Model Homeric fine condition in case

  

THESE ARE THE SUPER DUPER HEAVY LISTINGS OF BASSETT LOWKE MODELS!!!!!! It was built to be the epitome of luxury and trans-Atlantic crossing in supreme style. With the advent of larger boats The Homeric did not make it out of the 1930s and was scrapped in 1939.

It would have been a great target for a German Torpedo had it made WWII. Well I enjoyed telling you this story about the Homeric now perhaps I will tell you about this model. The model from an old collection and is in excellent condition having been a glass case for its entire display life. All pieces of the boat model are there and the paint is complete and bright. There is exceptional detail to the boat and it is on a board that fits into a base that the glass cover fits over to protect the model.
