The La Toulonnaise is a French schooner that was in service from 1823 to 1843 (the kit is based on how she looked when launched from Toulan, France on August 13th, 1823). She patrolled the American Eastern Seaboard and took part in the Spanish War under the command of Captain Jorsin. This beautiful kit is designed in scale 1:70. When completed, she will measure 28.3" long (720mm), about 5" wide (125mm) and 20.3 high (515mm). Lank-on-bulkhead construction with pre-cut ribs and structural parts.
Planking, deck furniture, masts and yards are made of the finest woods - African Walnut, Mahogany, Beech, Poplar and Tanganyika. Deadeyes and blocks are all pre-finished hardwood. Brass, copper and cast metals are used for the eight carronades, three falconets and other hardware. Cloth sails and rigging are included if you decide to built her with sails. Plans include step-by-step instructions with numerous diagrams that make this model suitable for modelers of limited experience.
The kit is new with all parts sealed. The box does show some minor wear from age (see last picture). My feedback is very important.
