Draketail workboats originated on Hoopers Island, MD. These classic workboats have a distinctive rounded stern with a "reverse rake" transom. They also have a narrow beam, resulting in higher speeds than other workboats. Draketails are commonly used for crabbing, oystering and fishing.

Draketail model (Blackway Boat Models #DKT) is wooden construction, hand-crafted and hand-painted. Model is fully assembled (not a kit), ready to display.

Draketail includes anchor and chain, chocks, bitts, navigation lights, hand rails, horn, cabin windows, portholes, detailed cabin interior, varnished cabin door, fire extinguisher, life ring, engine box, exhaust pipe, dual control stations, rope steering, tiller stick, gas tank, prop and rudder. Boat is painted white, with gray cockpit and copper/red bottom paint. Display stand is wood, painted black. Dimensions: 32.00" long X 6.30" wide X 11.80 high, when mounted on stand.
