Presented here is a VINTAGE WOOD AND BRASS CLOCK WORK MOTORBOAT MODEL. Boat may be an example of scratch-built, clockwork modeling. Propulsion system is simulated with an operational clockwork that drives propeller shaft. Turnkey is stationed on deckhouse with mechanism below deck. Keywind nice and tight, brass propeller turns at high rpm.
Boat Model includes windshield without glass, brass rudder, kelly green hull with black waterline. Model appears old with wear patterns consistent with age & usage. Motorboat from the estate of a steam engine model collector. Beyond that, uncertain of provenance; no apparent maker's marks from Bing, Shuco, etc. Length 11-7/8" x Beam 3-1/2".
