Her distinctive appearance owed as much to creating impressions as it did to naval architecture. Was in the process of evacuating American nationals from Nanking prior to the Japanese occupying the city. She was unexpectedly attacked by Japanese dive bombers and fighters.

Severely damaged, her decks awash and sinking fast, she was ordered abandoned. The Japanese government's immediate apology and willingness to make reparations kept the sinking from leading to more serious hostilities. Resin & Brass & Photo Etched Parts. Never before available in 1/192 scale.

Will require skills with Superglue, Soldering Gun, sanding, painting, PE brass & probably some putty work. This is a poured resin hull in 1 piece, solid resin. Thereby the bottom or keel may be a bit rough and may require some extra attention and work. It's not a defect, it's how the kit is and the only way to guarantee a clean appearance and fit for the upper half of the kit.
