Vintage Replica Model of Ernest Hemingway's Boat Pilar Display Model with Stand

  

Before the white beard, the Nobel Prize, and the legend calcified into bronze statues and airport gift shops, Ernest Hemingway was a man chasing marlin across blue water in a black-hulled fishing boat named Pilar. Launched in 1934 and built by Wheeler Shipyard.

Became Hemingway's floating refuge, war room, fishing platform, and myth factory. From Key West to Cuba, the boat was tied to some of the most recognizable years of Hemingway's life. This is a handsome display replica of Hemingway's. Presented on a black stand with a brass-tone nameplate reading Hemingway Pilar. The model features the recognizable black hull, green lower section, red accent stripe, wood-tone deck and cabin, upper railing, ladder, mast, fighting chair detail, rudder/prop detail, and other small nautical fittings.

It also includes the accompanying printed display/documentation sheet shown in the photos.
